
DJ Tony Tempo is an
international award winning DJ, based in Atlanta, and creator of the
one of the most unique Internet sites for Soca music that started it
all in 1999. His vision is to bring Soca music into the main stream.
His creative mixes incorporate
the latest sounds from hip-hop, reggae, salsa and his beloved Soca
music from Trinidad and Tobago, as well as the best Caribbean hot
spots. His sound keeps party goers dancing and gyrating well through the
night and into the next day.
DJ Tony Tempo, who started his
DJ livelihood in New York City, has played some of the major carnivals
and fetes around the world including Atlanta, New York, Caribana in
Canada, Miami, Tampa, and Washington D.C., and London, England for the
past 3 years. He has played for the largest mas bands at the Atlanta
Folk Festival Carnival for the past eight years and was voted "Best
Soca Sound" at the 3rd Annual Atlanta Caribbean Awards in 2002. He also
was the lead DJ for the sound crew that won top honors for the first
two years. Also, he is one of the "100 Most Influential West Indians in
Atlanta." As voted by a Caribbean newspaper. And played in Trinidad and
Tobago's 2004 carnival for Poison along with London's Nottinghill
carnival (2003, 2004, 2005).
He has worked on the same stage
as the world's legendary Reggae and Soca stars including Krosfyah,
Byron Lee and the Dragonaires, Machel Montano and Xtatik, Iwer George,
Traffik, Alison Hinds and Square One, Rupee, Reggae sensation's Sanchez
and Elephant Man, The Mighty Sparrow and the Mighty Shadow. Also, along
some Jamaican sounds like Renaissance, Black Chiney and Mighty Crown
and other top soca DJ’s around the world. He was the headline DJ at
Christmas in Paradise in St. Thomas. His pulsating rhythms along with
the singing of musical guests Gerald Levert, Kelly Price and Beres
Hammond kept the more than 10,000 party people jamming all weekend.

fans with his mixing skills while converting even more listeners to the
joys and delights of his musical styling.
